Steps

- Research and evaluate your potential career goals to confirm if each is realistic and achievable, and to determine what skill sets or knowledge need development. The confirmed potential career goals become your Career Goal(s). Your next step will be to decide whether to meet your Career Goal(s) in your work life or your leisure life.
- Develop your skill sets and knowledge to an appropriate competency level, thus increasing your employability.
- Negotiate modifications in your current work or environment to satisfy at least some aspects of your Career Goal(s).
- Initiate and support a plan to effectively market yourself into a best-fit position and environment.
